Travelling from Aberdeen and the North:
Head South on the A90 until a Signpost for the B966 Junction is reached. Turn right onto the B966 (signposted Fettercairn). In 0.8 mile turn right, then 7.3 miles farther on at the crossroads turn right to arrive at Fettercairn.

Travelling from Dundee and the South:
Head North on the A90. About 3 miles past the Junction for Stracathro Hospital and Service Area the junction with the B974 is reached. Turn left onto the B974 (signposted Fettercairn). In 0.9 mile bear right and 2.3 miles farther on at the T-junction turn right to arrive at Fettercairn.
Travelling across the Cairn O' Mount Road:
Starting at Banchory. At the traffic signals turn left onto the B974 (signposted Fettercairn). On the B974 at the Bridge of Feugh proceed forward (signposted Fettercairn, Strachan). When you reach Strachan Turn left toward Bridge of Dye carrying on until you reach the Cairn O'Mount summit at 1,475ft. Then start the long descent with hairpin bends until you arrive at Fettercairn.
